China Eximbank pledges USD $2 billion for Ouagadougou 10,000 Housing Unit Construction Project in Burkina Faso In 2018, SinoHydro dispatched a feasibility study team to Burkina Faso for the Ouagadougou 10,000 Housing Unit Construction Project. China Eximbank pledged USD $2 billion for this project.

However, according to a September 2021 media report, SinoHydro was still negotiating the terms of the commercial contract, indicating that China Eximbank had not yet committed any financing for this project yet.
