Grant Description

Funds will support monitoring and protection of forest elephants in the Ogooue-Leketi area in the Republic of Congo.

Specific activities will include maintaining surveillance at key sensitive habitats, reinforcing ground patrols and transboundary protection, expanding a mobile brigade and conducting further training in law enforcement monitoring using the Spatial Monitoring and Reporting Tool (SMART) system.
