Between 2014 and 2017, the Chinese Government provided grant funding for the China-Ghana Friendship ICT Labs Project.
This project involved the establishment of eight China-Ghana Friendship ICT Labs at schools and universities across eight different regions of the country.
Each lab received some combination of computers, tables, chairs, switches, routers, racks, projectors, projector screens, and air conditioners.
Labs were installed at Philip Akpo Memorial School in the Volta Region (Record ID#73224), Akoase Methodist Junior High School in the Eastern Region (Record ID#60150), Duong Junior High School in the Upper West Region (Record ID#73225), Adeiso Junior High School in the Eastern Region (Record ID#60149), Awutu Senya D/A Junior High School in the Central Region (Record ID#73223), Tempane Senior High School in the Garu-Tempane District within the Upper East Region (Record ID#73227), Maranatha University in the Greater Accra Region (Record ID#60153), Nyankpala Junior High School in the Northern Region (Record ID#73226), and Lady Julia ICT Knowledge Community Center in Kenyasi Number 1 within Brong-Ahafo Region (Record ID#60151).
The handover ceremonies for these labs took place at various points in time between 2014 and 2017.
The Chinese project title is 部省尼扬帕拉中学多媒体教室 or 中加友谊多媒体教室.
