China Ministry of Commerce hosts training for 258 farmers at Agricultural Technology Demonstration Center in Benin

On June 5th, 2018, the opening ceremony of the 2018 Benin Corn High-yield and Laying Hen Breeding Technology Overseas Training Course hosted by the Ministry of Commerce of China and undertaken by the Foreign Economic Cooperation Center of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs was held at the Agricultural Technology Demonstration Center.

The training lasted for 20 days, with 13 agricultural experts selected by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of China training 4 batches of 258 trainees. A closing ceremony was held on June 23, 2018. This was the largest overseas agriculture training from China at the time. The content of the training was practical layer breeding and corn planting to increase production technology.

Total teaching time came out to 7380 minutes. Secretary-General of the Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Fisheries of Benin, Ms. François Asoba Gong Lan and Counselor Zhang Bohui delivered speeches at the opening ceremony. Ambassador Peng Jingtao and Counselor Zhang Bohui visited to inspect the training course on June 20, 2018.
