Grant Description

The purpose of this project is to address this urgent need, and the Section on Great Apes (SGA) of the IUCN Species Survival Commission Primate Specialist Group, with project funds, will update BPGs for Surveys and Monitoring of Great Ape Populations (2nd edition), develop a second volume for BPGs for Health Monitoring and Disease Prevention in Great Ape Populations, and develop a supplement to BPGs for the re-introduction of great apes to cover wild-to-wild orangutan translocation.
