Grant Description

In 2013, the Chinese ambassador to Kenya began a scholarship program, referred to as "Chinese ambassador scholarship" ("中国大使助贫奖学金"), supporting 98 Kenyan student (15-20 per year) from financially disadvantaged background to study at the University of Nairobi who otherwise could not afford to pay for their fees and upkeep at the tertiary institution.

This five-year program concluded on Dec 1, 2017 when the last patch of 20 Kenyan students are sponsored to study at the University of Nairobi.
