Grant Description

On April 5, 2018, China Railway Construction Engineering Group (CRCEG) announced that it would provide free training and an internship program to 20 South Sudanese engineers.

The engineers came from civil, electrical, and carpentry backgrounds, and attended a one-month course at the Chinese-grant financed Juba Teaching Hospital Renovation and Expansion Project (see linked Record ID#53330 and #58594). Training began on May 5, 2018 and finished in June 2018.

Of the 20 students who enrolled in the training, only seven successfully completed it and were offered contracts to work for CRCEG.
