Grant Description

On January 31, 2007, the Government of the Republic of Cameroon and China's Ministry of Commerce signed an economic and technical cooperation agreement (ETCA) for unspecified purposes worth CFA 2.56 billion in grant funding. This agreement was signed during a visit of Chinese President Hu Jintao to Cameroonian President Paul Biya.

The funds were not allocated to a specific sector at the time, but in 2012, it was announced that this grant was partially used to fund the Yabassi Agricultural College Construction Project (see linked Record ID#30166).
