Grant Description
On January 1, 2016, the Chinese Government committed a $1,552,842.31 grant for the 10th Phase of People's Palace Technical Cooperation Project. The purpose of this project was to maintain and repair the People's Palace in Democratic Republic of Congo.
According to the Government of the Democratic Republic of Congo’s Aid Management Platform (AMP), no disbursements were made in support of this project.
However, according to the 2019 MOFCOM Investment Guide, the 11th Phase of People's Palace Technical Cooperation Project is already underway.
The People's Palace Technical Cooperation Project has been undertaken in multiple phases: 6th phase (recorded in Record ID#31415) 7th phase (recorded in #58848) 8th phase (recorded in #58849) 9th phase (recorded in #58850). The French project title is 10ème Mission technique chinoise chargée de la maintenance du Palais du Peuple.
