Grant Description

In 2011, to fulfill the Intergovernmental Framework Agreement between the Government of Turkmenistan and China, Turkmenistan and China Development Bank signed the relevant interbank settlement procedures that amounted to 280 million yuan in grants. The Framework Agreements was for the provision of grants from CDB to the Government of Turkmenistan.

The grants have been directed to finance projects such as the supply of two passenger locomotives and their spare parts to the Ministry of Railway Transport of Turkmenistan, construction of new buildings for Farap etrap hospital, construction of healthcare houses in Samandepe village, and equipping them with the modern medical equipment, for the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan, as well as the supply of computers for the institutions of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan.
