Grant Description

In October 2016, Chinese Africa Great Wall Mining Development Company signed a memorandum of understanding with Mozambique's Frelimo Party to provide 500 three-wheeler motorcycles at the Frelimo National Cadres Conference. The Great Wall Mining Company is the subsidiary of the in Jinan Yuxiao Group in Mozambique.

The Frelimo Party is the ruling party in Mozambique. Each motorcycle costs about 50,000 meticais, for a total project cost of 25,000,000 meticals.

The motorcycles are being used by the Frelimo party to implement governance plans in the 2018 municipal elections and 2019 general elections. On 15 September 2017, Frelimo received the 500 three wheeler motorcycles.
