Grant Description

On February 21, 2011, Chinese and Sudanese government officials signed an economic and technical cooperation agreement (ETCA) granting RMB 100 million for multiple projects.

Of this total amount, $13 million USD was allocated for the Omdurman Friendship Center for Vocational Training Rehabilitation Project (see Record ID#56665). This project is projected to start in January 2013, with a proposed completion date of December 2018. The other sub-projects are unknown. This ETCA also included an RMB 60 million interest-free loan (see Record ID#57630).

On June 9, 2011, the business counselor Hao Hongshe and the Director General of the Financial Market Department of the Central Bank of Sudan Ye Haiya Osman signed the bank account processing rules on the two agreements.
