Grant Description

China signs Economic and Technical Cooperation Agreement providing interest-free loan to Sudan in November 2005 On November 15, 2005, during the Communist Party of China Politburo Standing Committee (CPC) Li Changchun's visit to Sudan, Chinese and Sudanese government officials signed an economic and technical cooperation agreement (ETCA) which included interest-free loans of unspecified amount.

Chinese Vice Minister of Commerce Wei Jianguo and Sudan ’s Minister of International Cooperation Tijani and Minister of Finance and National Economy Zubair signed the agreement on behalf of their respective governments in Khartoum. The agreement also included free assistance of unspecified amount (described in #57409).
