Grant Description
In May 2017, at the 70th World Health Assembly, the Chinese Government and the Government of Zambia signed a hospital cooperation agreement (Chinese name: 建立对口医院合作关系的协议), which granted 6.99 million RMB for constructing the China-Zambia Endoscopy Unit (Chinese project name: 中赞腔镜中心) at Levy Mwanawasa Hospital.
First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University was responsible for project implementation including personnel training (#85187) and donating equipment (#85188).
On August 8, 2018, Chinese and Zambian officials held a launching ceremony to mark the beginning of the the operations of the center.
