Ongoing cooperative program with FAO, including 10 Caribbean islands. Program goals are to control the spread of the tick and prevent re-infestation in eradicated areas.

US interest is to safeguard the health and value of American agriculture and natural resources by protecting the United States from the risk of Tropical Bont Tick and the related livestock diseases of heartwater and dermatophilosis.
