Grant Description
In 2011, the Morocco Branch of the ZTE Corporation (ZTE Morocco) and Moroccan Mediterranean Telecom renovated the Moulay Idriss II Primary School, which is located in the town of Moulay Idriss (or Moulay Idriss Zerhoun or مولاي إدريس) in northern Morocco. ZTE Morocco reportedly spent 600,000 MAD on the renovations of the school.
On April 21, 2011, the renovations were complete and an opening ceremony was held at the school.
In an interview with the managing director of ZTE Morocco, Hou Xiaojin, it was implied that ZTE Morocco granted the funds for the renovation and were proud to be a responsible corporate citizen.
