Grant Description

Chinese Government pledges loan worth CFA 20 billion for Phase 2 of the N'Djamena 90KV Ring Network Project According to the Government of Chad's 2017 budget report, the Chinese Government agreed to provide a loan worth 20 billion CFA for Phase 2 of the N'Djamena 90KV Ring Network Project. However, it is unclear if a loan agreement was ever finalized.

In 2011, China Eximbank and the Government of Chad signed a preferential buyer’s credit (PBC) agreement worth CAF 83,992,912,730 (or approximately $152,548,684) for the N’Djamena-Djermaya 66kV High Voltage Electricity Transmission Line and 90kV N'Djamena Power Transmission Loop and Distribution Network Project (see #56337).

This project is also known as Phase 1 of the 90kV N'Djamena Ring Network Project.
