Grant Description

Through CIRAD, utilize QTL analysis, determine genetic traits linked to the premium cocoa "arriba" flavanoids, identify strains with demonstrated disease resistance to Crinipellis and Moniliopthora, investigate other determinants of the unique Equadorean flavanoids, assess resistance in current breeding stock and improve quality of strains, transfer clonal propagation technologies to farmers.
