Grant Description

On January 5, 2005, during the Chinese Foreign Affairs Minister's official visit, the Chinese Government signed an Economic and Technical Cooperation Agreement (ETCA) granting the Government of Seychelles 3 million USD for unspecified purposes.

On January 5, 2005, $60,000 USD of the funds from the ETCA went towards tsunami relief aid, which is detailed in Record ID#1474.

On June 22, 2005, the Chinese Government and the Government of Seychelles signed an agreement to use some of the funds of the ETCA to finance the import of various Chinese products, goods valued at USD 1.2 million.
