According to the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) Financial Tracking Service (flow ID #35254), on 4 April 2005, the Chinese government donated USD 40,479 to the World Health Organization (WHO) for an assessment of the damage to the Maldives' overall health system in disaster-affected areas in order to develop immediate and recovery plans following the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami.

OCHA marked this contribution as fully paid.
