Grant Description
On May 9, 2012, China and Colombia signed a memorandum of understanding on agricultural cooperation.
This cooperation was said to include projects such as technical cooperation and exchange of policies for the trade of agricultural products, strengthening small-scale fish producers, technology transfer on farming techniques and post-harvest management, capacity building of small-scale produce producers for food processing, implementation of irrigation techniques for small scale agriculture, technology transfer to the rice sector, analysis of the success of coffee cooperatives in Colombia, and exchange on trade regulations and policy.
Sources on the actual implementation of these projects could not be found, and there was no transactional amount to the cooperation agreement.
