Youth leadership development in rural Argentina

Young Argentinians from rural areas and those with relatively low socioeconomic status are unlikely to participate in public spaces, which makes it difficult for them to assert their civic responsibilities. The IAF supports community-led approaches to leadership and education.

Fundacin Ideas Que Transforman (IQT) will work with a network of schools, community organizations, and public and private institutions to train rural school teachers in the Salta province of Argentina in strategies to assist their students in developing skills such as active listening, critical thinking, and effective communication.

IQT is supporting the preparation of a new generation of rural community leaders in the Salta province who can serve as change agents in their communities and work to defend their civic and human rights.
