Integrating Venezuelan migrants in Buenos Aires

Original Grant Blurb Venezuelan migrants face challenges in adapting to life in Argentina, accessing services, exercising their rights, and finding gainful employment. Many suffer from psychosocial issues from the traumas they experienced in Venezuela and their journey to Argentina.

At the IAF, we support community-led solutions to creating economic opportunity and promoting social inclusion for Venezuelan migrants.

Asociacin Civil Alianza por Venezuela (AV) provides training and technical assistance in employment and entrepreneurship, promotes social integration, and facilitates access to education, health, and psychosocial services.

It will also strengthen AV, an organization established by Venezuelan migrants that seeks to address their longer-term needs.

This is part of the IAF's regional initiative to respond to the effects of the Venezuelan crisis in Latin America and the Caribbean.

Amendment Blurb This amendment provides AV with an additional 36 months and $200,385 to expand its support of Venezuelan migrant economic and social integration in Argentina to new participants, host additional workshops, and strengthen AV as an organization by creating a designated space to host activities with migrants and promoting new partnerships.

As part of the amendment, AV is mobilizing an additional $324,640 in counterpart resources to the grant agreement.
