Smallholder cacao producers in Peru face a number of challenges to grow and process their crop earn sufficient income to support their families invest in their land and create long-term wealth.

The Asociacin Peruana de Productores de Cacao (APPCACAO) is helping small-scale producers from three cooperatives to raise their income and quality of life by improving their production of fine flavored cacao. It is also strengthening their management and governance practices to ensure greater participation of women and youth.
