Revitalizing the knowledge of traditional medicine of the indigenous woman Chagra of life

Indigenous communities struggle to protect their traditional way of life and sustain their livelihoods in the natural environment.

Asociacin de Mujeres Indgenas `La Chagra de la Vida` (Asomi) encourages collaboration among its members, including the Inga, Kaments, Siona, Kofn, and Koreguaje people, to increase diversity and productivity of sustainable farms and to revitalize traditional knowledge and practices. At the IAF, we support community-led solutions to expand economic opportunity in Colombia.

Asomi's activities strengthen communities through education and training and build peer-to-peer learning and action networks.
