The Food Safety and Inspection Service sponsors inspection seminars every year for international government officials to familiarize them with U.S. meat and poultry inspection regulations and procedures used by USDA to assure that the nation's meat, poultry and egg products are safe, wholesome and properly labeled.
The seminars cover issues from farm to table, including HACCP and Pathogen Reduction; animal production; import and export procedures; and the roles of FDA, State, and local inspection agencies. Three Seminars will be held this year at three separate locations.
