Grant Description

This amendment provides SATIIM an additional 12 months and $102,000 to support two community forestry enterprises to sustainably manage resources while generating income and jobs for community members.

SATIIM will also support 20 Mayan Indigenous communities to map their boundaries, which will enable them to grow businesses and expand economic opportunities on their land.

SATIIM is additionally identifying ways to enhance its own financial sustainability by improving spaces for use by visitors, local businesses, and organizations. SATIIM is mobilizing an additional $81,615 in counterpart resources to the grant agreement.

This grant is part of the IAFs Women INvesting in Growth and Security (WINGS) initiative to empower women as business and community leaders.
