Grant Description

Women and young people in the Santa Brbara department are especially affected by lack of economic opportunity growing violence and insecurity and irregular migration.

Organismo Cristiano de Desarrollo Integral de Honduras (OCDIH) works with youth indigenous and womens? organizations to promote shared learning planning and investment with key public and private decision-makers to promote economic development and build a culture of peace at the local level. At the IAF we support community-led solutions to enhance peace and security in Honduras.

OCDIH?s activities encourage civic participation to enable marginalized groups to defend their rights propel their own development and demand government accountability and transparency. This grant is part of the IAF?s efforts to address the root causes of irregular migration in Central America.
