Grant Description

Dominica will receive 20 million Chinese yuan (about EC$7.2 million) from China after recent signing of an Economic and Technical Cooperation Agreement (ETCA), reports Caribbean Net News (Sept. 20, 2007).

Minister for Public Works and Public Utilities Ambrose George led a 19-member delegation to the Second China-Caribbean Economic and Trade Cooperation Forum in Xiamen, China earlier in the month. The projects to be funded through this agreement are unknown. China has also agreed to provide grant aid of US$100,000 in cash for disaster relief (Record ID#40531)
