Grant Description

According to Dominican Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerritt, in April 2004 China promised another $2 million USD on top of the $4 million USD pledged upon Dominica's severance of diplomatic ties with Taiwan. Some of the budget assistance will go toward completing projects started under funding from Taiwan.

Some of the projects they will work on include a new sports stadium, a highway, new public schools and an expansion to the main hospital, which also received funding from a $112 million Chinese grant (recorded in Record ID#52578). The current status of this donationis unknown.
