It is reported that on July 4, 2016, the People's Republic of China increased its economic collaboration with Nigeria by signing a bilateral agreement worth 8.2 million Yuan in 2016 for feasibility studies on the second phase of the Abuja Solar Powered Traffic Control Signal, Agricultural Demonstration Center, and the bilateral training programs.
The project will be funded through gratis assistance as part of the 2012 Economic and Technical Cooperation Agreement between the two governments.
According to the agreement, RMB Yuan 6000,000.00 is allocated for training programmes (Record ID#52629); the Agricultural Centre is allocated RMB Yuan 1,000,000.00 (Record ID#52630), while the Solar project study has RMB Yuan 1,200,000.00 (Record ID#52632).
The Nigerian Government was responsible for providing technical data which the feasibility study requires, logistics, and designating a specialized organization to coordinate the Chinese team.
This project is an umbrella project to projects #52629, #52630, #52632. The states of the individual projects are unknown.
