Grant Description

In December 2016, the Chinese Embassy in Cameroon signed an agreement with University of Yaounde Il-Soa commiting to provide 10 million Central African Francs worth of scholarships every three years at the University. The funds were presented to University students by Chinese Ambassador Wei Wenhua.

The first transaction as a result of this agreement was recorded in Record ID#52451, in which 50 students from Cameroon were awarded 200,000 Central African Francs each in 2016.

Interestingly, the Chinese Embassy in Cameroon also provided 50 scholarships of equal value to the following year to University of Yaounde Il-Soa students (see linked Record ID#71982).
