Grant Description

On 22 September 2016, the Chinese Minister of Agriculture announced that the Chinese Government pledged to provide $60 million USD to the Government of Sudan "to boost strategic partnerships between the two countries in the field of agricultural investments." It is unclear whether these funds were ever disbursed.

Chinese Minister of Agriculture Han Changfu was visiting Sudan for three days accompanied by a high delegation comprised of a number of Chinese investors and representatives of Chandong Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Cotton Research Centre and Agricultural Mechanization Academy.
