Grant Description

On 23 July 2016, the heads of China Eximbank and the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) signed a cooperation agreement to create a $1 billion China-Africa Investment and Industrialization Program to facilitate the construction of industrial parks and special economic zones (SEZ) on the continent.

The signing ceremony took place in Mahé, Seychelles during the 23rd Annual Meeting of Shareholders of Afreximbank.
