Grant Description

Fundacin Hondurea de Ambiente y Desarrollo Vida (FV) will work to increase the income of farmers in the drought belt of southern Honduras by encouraging the application of "agroecological" practices that include no-tillage farming and the use of wind breaks, live fences, green mulching and biological control of pests, all of which tend to protect or improve the environment.

The project will directly benefit 3,000 Hondurans, including many female heads-of-household, in the municipalities of Aguanqueterique and Lauterque, departments of La Paz, and the municipalities of Aramecina and Caridad, department of Valle. It will indirectly impact at least another 10,000 residents.
