Grant Description

In June of 2003, the People's Republic of China was to donate medicines worth $300,000 US dollars to the Angolan Government to help with the shortage of TB-related drugs in public hospitals. The Angolan government had made a public appeal two years previous to help the people fight against tuberculosis.

The medicines were to be handed over to the Health Minister, Albertina Hamukuaya, by the Chinese ambassador, Beisan Zhang. No additional information could be found regarding the completion of the donation.
