Grant Description

REDE will work in Cabo de Santo Agostinho, Pernambuco, to develop grassroots leadership skills and encourage community groups to work with businesses and the local government to protect the environment.

Its Socio-Environmental School will train approximately 100 community leaders who will form Community Environmental Protection Hubs to identify solutions to socio- environmental challenges, draft action plans and undertake projects with support from a small grant fund and external sources. (BR-841)
