Grant Description

Associao Comunitria da Vila de So Jorge (ASJOR) will work in the community of So Jorge, Goias, to expand the reach of health care that complements conventional medicine by incorporating traditional practices, including the use of medicinal plants indigenous to the Cerrado, a savannah located in the heart of Brazil.

The analysis of the benefits of the plants and the development of a plant nursery and a community health center should benefit 500 Brazilians directly and another 5,000 indirectly.
