Grant Description

FEDEM will train members of 300 neighborhood associations in the municipalities of Asuncin and Limpio and in Barrio Remansito in Villa Hayes, one hour from the capital, to address neighborhood issues and improve employment opportunities.

FEDEM will use additional funds to train over 300 additional members of neighborhood associations and build the institutional capacity of 10 civil society organizations in the Departments of Central, Villa Hayes, and the capital Asuncin to strengthen grassroots oversight and monitoring of government transparency in its spending, policies and programs.

It will open a training center for neighborhood leaders, and test and adapt its existing online leadership school training platform for use by community leaders throughout Paraguay and Latin America.
