Grant Description

IIED-LA will undertake a community-based urban development project in La Matanza, a municipality in greater Buenos Aires, in partnership with the municipal government and the Municipal Council of Children and Youth.

Approximately 250 adolescents, the demographic group most affected by Argentinas economic crisis, and 580 members of community-based organizations will directly benefit from stronger grassroots organizations, improved support for the productive activities of young entrepreneurs, increased participation in the Municipal Council and more decentralized governance.
