Grant Description

Artisanal gold miners and their families in the province of Canta Lima face health and environmental challenges that contribute to poor living conditions.

Centro para la Investigacin en Salud Ambiental (CREEH) provides technical assistance in practices that reduce exposure to mercury and that promote a safer environment overall. At the IAF we support community-led solutions to strengthen governance in Peru.

CREEH's activities strengthen communities through education and training and build peer-to-peer learning and action networks.
