Grant Description

ESCAP will work with families in Natalio and Yatytay in Itapa department of southeast Paraguay to improve their food security and income through organic gardens and enhanced dairy cattle, poultry and honey production.

Farmers will diversify their production and improve market access through training and upgrades to facilities to store their goods while in transit to fairs, for examples.

Project activities will also strengthen ESCAP's management skills to help it help it function more efficiently and effectively.

ESCAP will also work with a regional alliance of organizations it is part of, to organize training workshops to increase its members' fundraising and networking skills and improve overall operations.

ESCAP will also work through its member organizations to help install water systems in two communities to increase access to potable water. The grant will benefit 384 individuals directly and another 5,200 individuals indirectly.
