Grant Description
Fundacin Instituto Panameo de Desarrollo Humano y Municipal (FIPADEHM) will undertake a project to strengthen the capacity of local groups and municipal authorities to mobilize resources; negotiate identify, design, implement and evaluate projects; and contribute to community welfare through environmental, transportation and other services.
This project will also enable participating communities to forge alliances with other communities, municipal government and civil society organizations in close to 60 "corregimientos" or subdistricts in parts of the provinces of Bocas del Toro, Coln, Veraguas and the Comarca Ngbe- Bugl, an indigenous reserve.
Beneficiaries will be mostly of African descent.
