FUNBARU - Sustainable Rural Development in Alternative Agriculture, Environmental Conservation and Community Strengthening in the Chiquiri Province (Panama).

Fundacin Bar Pro Desarrollo Socioeconmico de la Comunidad (FUNBARU) will work in Paja de Sombrero with a community organization to introduce bamboo as an alternate source of income generation and a means to preserve the environment.

The Grantee will directly assist with capacity building, investment capital for fixed assets and equipment, and marketing bamboo products while the community organization becomes legally constituted and prepared to assume these tasks.
