Sarstoon Temash Institute for Indigenous Management (SATIIM) will train residents of Crique Sarco, a Q'qechi' community located in the Toledo district, to map their land and resources and manage them according to their indigenous traditions and in compliance with Belizean law.
With technical assistance from IAF Guatemalan grantee Sa Qa Chol Nimla K'aleb'aal (SANK), Crique Sarco's residents will survey their land, demarcate their boundaries and file these with the appropriate authorities. The collaboration will benefit 320 Q'qechi' directly and another 1,000 indirectly.
