China Eximbank provides $200 million preferential buyer’s credit for various infrastructure and socioeconomic development projects On June 8, 2006, China Eximbank and the Government of Myanmar signed a general loan agreement on the utilization of a USD $200 million preferential buyer's credit (PBC) for various infrastructure and socioeconomic development projects.

This loan agreement was originally committed to during a visit to Beijing by Myanmar Prime Minister Gen. Soe Win in February 2006.

At least two subsidiary (individual) loan agreements were issued for the Drillings Rigs and Oil Fields Equipment Project (captured in Record ID#73288) and the No. 4 Urea Fertilizer Factory (Myaungtagar) and No. 5 Urea Fertilizer Factory (Kangyidaunt) Construction Project (captured in Record ID#35600).

In total, 5 different government agencies intended to make use of the general loan agreement.
