Grant Description

Instituto Pr Educao e Sade (Instituto Proeza) will provide vocational training in the garment industry on the outskirts of Brasilia to women victims of domestic violence.

The project will train women in income generation, gender equality in labor relations, and will establish their own association to leverage business opportunities related to the 2014 World Cup and beyond. Counterpart funds will be used to promote after school classes and tutoring for children at risk.

Approximately 100 women and 200 children will benefit directly from project activities and 1,500 indirectly.
