Education/Training Grant

Asociacin Minga Per, in Peru drawing on lessons learned from almost twenty years of working with local organizations in the Peruvian Amazon, Minga Per will provide communications training to 60 individuals from current and former IAF grantees in the Dominican Republic and Peru and from the organizations they serve.

From that group, Minga Per will develop a cadre of communications specialists who will go on to use their newly acquired skills to support broader civil society development in their communities and countries. Participants will document lessons and results to share with donors and other interested parties.

Benefits from this project should reach between 10,000 and 15,000 individuals connected with the organizations, their communities and their partners.

Through this cooperative agreement, Minga Per will also build bridges to international networks and create a new model for providing technical assistance that may be applied in other countries throughout the region.
