Education/Training Grant

Asociacin Fe y Alegra Ecuador will develop its program Cuntamelo Todo Ibarra (CTI) targeting 400 at-risk children and adolescents and at least 50 adults in the neighborhood of Alpachaca, Ibarra.

Using a mobile school wagon and nearby public spaces, the project team will work with boys and girls between the ages of 5 and 12 and their parents to encourage dialogue, respect and family participation in reading, arts and crafts, team sports, and psycho-social monitoring.

The team will also offer young adults between the ages of 13 and 25, music and sports as alternatives to drugs, crime, alcoholism and early pregnancy that permeate their neighborhood. Some parents will be trained to assist with both groups.
