Grant Description

The project seeks to strengthen local institutions and provide environmentally sustainable economic alternatives for approximately 1,500 families living in the buffer zone of the Biological Corridor of the Managua Hills.

CODESOS will develop and implement, in a participatory manner, a plan for the conservation and sustainable use of the municipality's natural resources and environment.

It will also conduct environmental education, support local partnerships and establish a loan fund for agricultural diversification and marketing as well as tourism services. (NC-253)
